A church in Ruskin, Fla., is merging with a church 30 miles away, in Temple Terrace, Fla., as the two congregations join to form a multisite model.
Destiny Church in Ruskin will soon be the parent congregation of Faith Assembly of God, which will change its name to Destiny Church of Temple Terrace and operate as a satellite campus. The Ruskin church has grown beyond 500 members, yet the Temple Terrace congregation had been worshipping at around 40 people a week.
Destiny Church’s pastor, Jerry Lubrano, estimates the church will spend $100,000 up front to begun updating technology and other features of the Temple Terrace locations. He is hoping the church will start five satellite campuses in the next 10 years.
Both Ruskin and Temple Terrace are located in the Tampa-St. Petersburg metropolitan area. For more on this story, visit the source.
